Dry Needling Therapy...

Years ago when I was struggling the most with my back injury (prior to surgery), the Physio I was seeing was qualified in Dry Needling Therapy (DNT) and convinced me to give it a go.
I have to say, it was probably the only thing other than medication that gave me some relief from the incredible pain that I was getting.
DNT is similar to acupuncture in that it uses acupuncture needles, however the theory behind the 2 is quite different. DNT is a form of muscle release, aimed at targeting a “trigger point” and releasing it. Trigger points are taut bands within muscle that when released, help a muscle relax and regain its proper function.
While DNT can be slightly painful at times, that is when it is most beneficial as it indicates the physician is working in the correct area.
Through my own experiences, plus completing my certification, I have been needled pretty much everywhere on my body! I would recommend it to anyone!
Above is a pic of a few needles in yours truly ☺️
